This notice is to inform you that our School District is taking a proactive measure to increase security and safety in our District. This school year, we will be utilizing the services of K9 drug sniffing dogs. The K9s are trained in the detection of illegal drugs. The K9s will make unannounced visits throughout the year and will perform searches of backpacks and lockers. The K9s will not have contact with students. This does not imply that any school in our District is unsafe; rather, we are choosing to use every tool available to ensure that our schools are safe and secure.
