USE OF SCHOOL FACILITIES

 

SCHEDULE OF FEES

 

Note: The following exhibit is provided for the management and control of school facilities pursuant to

Education Code 38130‐38138 (the Civic Center Act), and may be modified to reflect other district

requirements such as specific restrictions and insurance documents.

 

Use and occupancy of school property shall be primarily for public school purposes. All school related activities shall be given priority in the use of facilities and grounds under the Civic Center Act. Any authorized use of occupancy of the property for other than public school purposes shall be secondary & subordinate to the public school program. Thereafter, the use shall be on a first-come first-served basis.

 

All fees listed below must be paid in full no later than 2 weeks prior to the rental period. There is a provision of a 50% non-refundable deposit.

 

Fee schedule for use of Hawthorne, Lawndale, Leuzinger High Schools and Lloyde Continuation School (Auditorium, Football Field, Baseball Field, Soccer Field, Classroom, Cafeteria, or Gymnasium) are as follows:

Group I - Commercial/Professional Rates (For-Profit)

Sports leagues, meetings, seminars, etc.                                                                                                            $150/hour

Film shoot (TBD by Business Administration based on needs)                                                      Starting at $3,500/day

 

Group II – Nonprofit Organization Rates

Available to 501 (c) 3 Organizations with a copy of IRS Acceptance Letter 1045 and Public School Districts and other governmental units that meet the definition of a “political subdivision” under IRS Regulation 1.103-1 (b)

 

Sports leagues, meetings, seminars, etc.                                                                                                              $75/hour

Film shoot (TBD by Business Administration based on needs)                                                      Starting at $3,000/day

 

Group III –Resident Group, League or Team                                                                                                       $25/hour

Available if 67% or more of all players in/on the group, league or team are students attending schools in the Centinela Valley Union High School District or are students of elementary or middle schools that are part of Hawthorne School District, Lawndale Elementary School District or Lennox School District. Team and League Rosters will be required to qualify for this rate.

 

Group IV – Community Partner Rates 1

Each member of the Board of Education may select one group per year to receive these rates. Each selected

rental shall not exceed a 3-day event period and the Board President must sign off on each selection.
