Lawndale High School Senior Named L.A. County Outstanding Youth Volunteer of the Year

Each year, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors names ONE student as the Outstanding Youth Volunteer for the entire county and this year, Brandon Ward a senior at Lawndale High School, was awarded. Last year, it was also a Lawndale High School student who was awarded. Brandon has been a peer mediator for the Centinela Youth Services STARS Peer Mediation Program for the past two years. He is a true leader in this program and his peers look up to and respect him. He takes the skills he learns in the program and applies them to his life and struggles. CVUHSD congratulates Brandon!
