District Parent Advisory Committee (DPAC)
Elected members of each site's School Parent Advisory Committees (SPAC) meet throughout the year as part of the District Parent Advisory Committee (DPAC).
As per Education Code (CCR4423), Advisory councils established pursuant to this article shall comply with the ESEA, Title I, law and regulations pertaining to advisory councils. These councils shall include broad representation of the parent population served by this district or school respectively including socio-economic and ethnic groups represented in the district or school attendance area.
The purpose of the DPAC is to provide input and advice, on an annual basis, to the CVUHSD Board of Education on the needs of those students who are: Low Income (LI), Foster, Homeless, or Academically Struggling Subgroups through the Consolidated Application, Local Education Action Plan (LEAP), and Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). The Consolidated Application must contain the certification of the DPAC Chairperson in the participation of the Title I planning process.
